Royal Wedding Day Inspiration – A Right Royal Affair

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017

As many of you will know there was a *sort of* royal wedding this last weekend! Pippa Middleton, sister of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge wed her long term boyfriend James Matthews. The ceremony was held at St Mark’s Church in Englefield. Of course the Duchess herself along with Prince William were both in attendance and keeping an eye on flower girl Princess Charlotte and page boy Prince George. After enjoying a wonderful champagne reception at Englefield House, guests then reassembled at Bucklebury village hall for security checks before being ushered to the Middleton family home for the evening festivities. A few pictures have been released of the wedding events and we just ADORE the classic and timeless theme. Of course William & Kate also chose a very elegant and classic wedding theme – so we figured lets get a little royal wedding inspiration…

Of course first is the dress. Both Catherine and Pippa chose very elegant and modest wedding dresses for the ceremony and a more modern and sleek style for the evening celebrations. Both formal dresses were embellished with stunning lace details, a sweeping veil and long train. Pippa’s gown was a custom-made, lace Giles Deacon design, which reportedly cost fourty thousand pounds. Kate wore a stunning gown by Alexander McQueen, which cost more than four-hundred thousand pounds.

There is no point trying to deny it, there are many good choices for Ed Sheeran first dance songs. The majority of his music is soft, romantic and oh so sweet. Of course this is no exception for his latest album release. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past few months you probably will have noticed that the new Ed Sheeran album is EVERYWHERE! Of course as someone who works in the wedding industry I can’t help but listen to songs and wonder how many people had this is as their first dance music, or even to walk down the aisle.

Exhibitors

With over 250 exhibitors this year, the show was packed full of great people to see and meet. The Ivy Ellen stand was situated perfectly, a direct view of the catwalk and opposite the fabulous Rachel Simpson, whose shoes are to die for. I had great fun meeting and interviewing several suppliers including The Distractions Band, Turquoise Holidays, Le Papillion and Cad & The Dandy, whose stand was very popular. The Distractions Band were performing live music regularly, attracting the attention of many, including myself. Singer Joseph Malick explained to me step by step how to and why you should book a live band to perform at your wedding. ” Live music is more interactive, you get a personal feel for the audience and can add character to a song”

10 Love Lessons I learnt from Disney

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014

Growing up as a child I was obsessed with Disney films though I could never decide on a favourite. I loved the voice of Pocahontas when she sung but I loved the romantic fairytale of Cinderella. Naturally I guess part of me grew up wishing for the fairytale however as I grew older I realised in fact that all those hours spent watching the knight rescue the fair maiden taught me more than to dream, they taught me love lessons I will never forget.
