We love being able to blog about our customers wedding day’s and seeing their wedding photographs is such a privilege. Therefore we decided to have a quick roundup of some of our favourite images and give a little insight as to why…

First up is this divine wedding photograph from Charlotte & Henry’s big day – beautifully captured by Charlie Campey Photography.  The reason we love this image so much is because of how enchanting it is. The bride and groom look stunning, sharing a kiss on their wedding day underneath a wild and almost fairytale like canopy  – the chandelier just tops it off!

10 Love Lessons I learnt from Disney

Growing up as a child I was obsessed with Disney films though I could never decide on a favourite. I loved the voice of Pocahontas when she sung but I loved the romantic fairytale of Cinderella. Naturally I guess part of me grew up wishing for the fairytale however as I grew older I realised in fact that all those hours spent watching the knight rescue the fair maiden taught me more than to dream, they taught me love lessons I will never forget.

When your planning a wedding there is so much to organise it is rather easy to forget about the small things, however we know that you really don’t want that to be the butt of everyone’s jokes all night. People often say the Devils’ in the Detail – but with this list of 10 stationery details for your reception not one single guest will say that you forgot about the details!

 

1. Place Cards – We suggest that you don’t leave it up to the guests to choose they’re own seats, you will end up with squabbling and quite frankly more trouble than there need be. Make sure each guest has their own place card, if you have a theme then coordinate them for a really polished look.

 

 

2. Place Setting Menu Cards – Right so Auntie Jennie can’t remember if she ordered the Chicken or Salmon whilst Sarah is sure she ordered the Chicken without the mushrooms. Married life can get under your skin, and according to researchers at UCLA, it can even get into your bones. Marriage is tied to better bone mineral density (BMD), reducing the risk for developing osteoporosis. While simply being married had positive effects for men, having a happy relationship was crucial for higher BMD in women. Past research has linked stress with poor BMD, so it makes sense that a supportive partner can lower a spouse’s stress levels and protect bones.

Today, February 14th, is Valentine’s Day, the day where across the world people celebrate Love. Today is the day when 73% of men give their partner flowers. So men if you are in the 27% who forgot which day it was today be warned because around 50% of women who do not receive a valentine’s gift from their partner on Valentine’s day will break up with them!

1) Valentine’s Day was initially named after Bishop Valentine who performed secret marriages between men and women during 270AD. The Emperor Claudius II did not want any of the men in his Roman Empire to marry because he felt that single men were better warriors because love was a distraction. Bishop Valentine rebelled against this rule and arranged ceremonies through sending notes signed with ‘From Your Valentine’. Bishop Valentine was sadly caught and killed for this act on February 14th and from then on people celebrated him on this day.
