Thursday, February 4th, 2016

Next Sunday is the 14th February, traditionally known as valentines day. A day filled with love, romance and alot of chocolate! Although over the years the day has become very commercialised it all started with Saint Valentine  – it is thought that Saint Valentine of Rome was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry. According to legend, during his imprisonment, he healed the daughter of his jailer, Asterius. The story also goes on to state that before his execution he wrote her a letter signed “Your Valentine” as a farewell. So a declaration of love – what better theme for a valentines day wedding?

Proposal of the Week: Romantic London Proposal

Friday, August 21st, 2015

Hi everyone! It’s that time again, proposal of the week! Today we have a wonderfully sweet and very extravagant London proposal. Take a peek below for all the lovely details…

The low down: So one wonderful guy decided he wanted to pop the big question in a very busy London street with precisely 20 dancers, a saxophonist, 2 violinists, 13 acapella singers and a huge crowd watching. So ya know, no biggie! The unsuspecting girlfriend sat down fr dinner at the table outside whilst he went to the ‘loo’. All of a sudden various dancers and singers appeared and started signing Bruno Mars (of course). He then re-appeared with a guitar and serenaded her! She of course said yes and everyone proceeded to dance and clap – hooray!

We love: That the event was filmed – a very special moment has been captured forever. We also love that he definitely was not embarrassed to proclaim his love in front of hundreds of people!

Alternative idea: Flashmobs are easy to organize in today’s’ society – google local flashmob companies or even just a local dance studio and enroll as many people as you can – done!

Hi there! Welcome to our lovely little proposal of the week section of this blog! As you can guess each week we find a wonderful proposal story and share it with you – whether you’re planning a proposal or just want a Friday afternoon pick-me up. This weeks involves a guy call Matt who faked a friends music video to capture this moment – we give to you the music video proposal.

The low down: This wonderful guy has been in love with his now girlfriend since they were 10 years old! True childhood sweethearts he decided to propose and of course got a big fat yes! With the help of a very musically talented friend he decided to propose in a music video made especially for them – even the song (which is amaziiing) was written for them too! The day starts with them being filmed around the city doing things like getting coffee and kissing, they then go for dinner and he pops the big Q in this wonderful music video proposal, in front of her family and friends.

We love: That the song was written especially for them, a bonus for the first dance!

Alternative idea: You can come up with any excuse to film and even get some local bands to write or perform a song – job done!
