Sussex Bride: Wedding Planning – 8 Months To Go!

Hello again! I hope you’re all enjoying these little wedding planning snippets! This week I have been looking at bridesmaid dresses and thinking about the wedding decoration details!

As far as bridesmaid dresses go I’m not very traditional – I want my girls to feel happy and comfortable in what they’re wearing and not spend fortunes on a dress they’ll never wear again! So we started looking at different highstreet retailers and discussing what look I had envisioned for the day. Seeing as our overall theme is vintage floral with navy blues, ideally I’d like to go down that route but am generally happy for them to try most things. As a bride on a budget we had to have the money discission – a must before any bridesmaid shopping trips to avoid any awkward till encounters. Once all that was discussed and we had pinned a dozen dresses on Pinterest we have a plan in place to hit the shops together next weekend!

Wedding flowers. A simple decision – right? Wrong. Wedding flowers can not only be difficult to choose but can become very costly very quickly! Choosing your wedding flowers based on what is in season for your big day will narrow down your choices slightly and save you a pretty buck or two – perfect! So we have listed out a few fabulous flowers that are in season for each month of the year along with our personal favourite – we hope it helps!

Ranunculus, Calla, Dahlias, Delphimium, Gerbera, Larkspur, Roses, Snap Dragons and Tulips.
